Quinta do Sampayo, Tinto 2024

Flag of Portugal

Quinta do Sampayo is a historic family estate located in Vale da Pinta, within Portugal’s Tejo region. Founded in the late 18th century and now spanning around 90 hectares (including 55 ha of vineyards), the estate blends tradition with modern viticulture. They focus on crafting wines that reflect the local terroir, working the land sustainably and embracing their regional heritage. The 2024 Tinto (IGP Tejo) blends 50% Castelão (Grenache), 25% Aragonez (Tempranillo) and 25% Touriga Nacional, part-aged six months in new 225 L French oak barrels. It shows a medium-ruby colour with a complex nose of red and wild berry fruit, spice and integrated toast. On the palate it offers fine tannins, fresh acid lift and effortless elegance, finishing with a light, graceful intensity. Sustainably produced; vegan-friendly.
